Heated Bathroom Floor Remodel
A carefully layered floor assembly brought electric radiant warmth beneath the tile while supporting waterproofing, crack isolation, and a clean finished bathroom.
Project Brief
The Remodeling Plan
A heated tile floor depends on the work below the surface. We will build the assembly around a sound substrate, an uncoupling membrane, properly spaced heating cable, electrical coordination, and a durable tile finish.
We will use an uncoupling membrane to support the cable layout and help isolate movement.
We will coordinate the electric heating system and controls before tile installation.
We will complete the floor within a waterproof, easy-care bathroom design.

Installing the Radiant-Heat Assembly
The sequence moved from the starting room through the membrane and cable layout to the finished heated tile floor.

Step 01 · Original Condition
The Starting Room
The existing bathroom established the footprint for the new floor assembly, with the substrate and finishes ready to be rebuilt for the comfort upgrade.

Step 02 · Radiant-Heat Assembly
Membrane, Cable, and Controls
The uncoupling membrane went down over a sound substrate, the electric heating cable was spaced and coordinated with the controls, and the assembly was checked before any tile covered the working layers.

Step 03 · Completed Result
The Finished Heated Floor
The tile concealed the working layers, leaving a waterproof, easy-care pebble-look floor paired with a glass shower enclosure and a restrained gray-and-white palette.
